2 Annoying Slang Terms That Need to Go Away...Forever

See that face that Erica Mena's making in the above photo? That's the same face that I make whenever I hear certain slang terms being used - especially when they're used excessively. I see terms like "ratchet" and "THOT" being used all of the time on social media networks and saying that those terms are annoying is an understatement.

Below, you'll find why I can't stand the terms "ratchet" and "THOT" along with their definitions.

Ratchet - Ratchet is a slang term for the word "ghetto" apparently, but Urban Dictionary has a rather detailed definition of the term. I constantly hear people using the word here in Philadelphia and it's rather annoying. People seem to use the term "ratchet" at any given chance, even when it doesn't really make any sense. Hopefully, this word will lose it's so-called popularity sooner rather than later.

THOT - THOT is probably one of the most nonsensical acronyms that I've ever come across. It stands for "That ho over there" and originated from a Chief Keef song. One reason that this term is dumb is because people use it so incorrectly from a grammatical standpoint. For example, people will say "She's a THOT", essentially saying "She's a that ho over there". It just makes no sense to me and needs to stop.

Are there any slang terms that grind your gears? Sound off in the comments below
