This year’s Philly Tech Week kicked off in Center City Philadelphia on Saturday night with the World’s Largest Game of Tetris being played on the Cira Centre building with hundreds and hundreds of people in attendance.
I took the time to head downtown with a few of my favorite people from
BDPA Philly and we had a blast. There was tons to do while we were waiting for the Tetris game to start including a large, virtual version of Connect 4 and various games and apps created by some of Philly’s best indie studios, including
PHL Collective.

Now, it’s worth mentioning that it was very cold and windy Saturday night, but that didn’t stop anyone from having a good time and reveling in all of the tech goodness. A little after 8pm, the Tetris game began on the side of the Cira Centre building and spectators were very into it, being careful not to take their eyes off of the glowing shapes.
