JoJo rose to stardom when she released her debut self-titled album at the age of 13 which featured her debut single "Leave (Get Out)". The single snagged the #1 spot on the pop charts, making her the youngest solo artist to earn a #1 single in the U.S. She kept the ball rolling and released her sophomore album The High Road in 2006, which featured the smash hits "Too Little Too Late" and "How to Touch a Girl".
Ever since then, JoJo has been unable to release new music commercially due to the contract with Blackground, but she has held fans over by releasing two mixtapes and a couple individual tracks. One of the biggest tracks that was released (via YouTube) was her cover of Drake's "Marvin's Room", which showcased Jo's vocal growth and personal development into a young woman.
At 23 years old, JoJo has finally been released from her contract with Blackground and has signed a deal with Atlantic Records. Words can't describe how happy I am for her and I can't wait for her to show the world that she's still got it.
Be sure to keep up with JoJo on Twitter for all of the latest details
