Album Overview: James Allen - "James Allen"

While a lot of people may think that rap music solely discusses drugs, money, and violence, there are artists that go against that mold and stray away from that image. James Allen is one of those artists and he has the talent and charisma to become a game changer in this industry. His self-titled album James Allen was released a little over a week ago, and it's definitely worth checking out.

James Allen demonstrates his lyrical skills throughout the entirety of the album and you can feel his passion for music through the speakers as he rhymes. There's no talk about killing people or glamorizing the use or trafficking of drugs in his songs; just music with a story and a message and that listeners can relate to.

The entire album is great, but 3 of the standout tracks on the album are "Good", "Person in the Mirror", and "No Looking Down". These tracks combine dope production quality and clever lyrics resulting in songs that you'll catch yourself quoting and and replaying in your head all day.

From the way James is currently approaching his career, he could definitely solidify himself as a talented lyrical artist and leave a permanent mark not only on the rap game, but the music industry as a whole.
