Toronto Raptors Name Drake as Their Global Ambassador

Drake's success isn't stopping anytime soon as he continues to add big accomplishments to his name. The Toronto Raptors turned to the A-List musician with hopes that he would assist in rebuilding the franchise.

“Today’s probably one of the best days of my life,” Drake, told the AP. “I got to throw on the suit and be announced as the global ambassador of the Toronto Raptors.”

Drake met with executive and after conversing with them, he realized that they had the same passion. “I came into the venue one night and I guess was extremely outspoken about what I felt could change, as far as the building goes,” he said. “That sparked a discussion and [we] sat down and decided we had the same visions.”

As part of the deal, Drake will use his powerful and well known connections to attract free agents to the team, as well as intensifying the Raptors' fan base.

“I've supported the franchise through our ups and downs. More than anything, I’m a Toronto guy. I’m a city guy,” said Drake. “I care about the city more than anything in the world.”
