At only 20 years old, singer and songwriter Michelyn Cierra has already made some of her dreams come true. Currently a student at Bowie State University studying Mass Communications, Michelyn's passion for singing and songwriting is what fuels her to pursue her music career.
The Washington D.C. native grew up in a musical family, as her father works in music production and is a bass player, and she discovered music at the early age of 5. Music became Michelyn's medium of self expression and she hasn't looked back.
Michelyn has performed at World Cafe Live and The Voltage Lounge (both located in Philadelphia) as well as the legendary Howard Theatre in D.C. and she didn't disappoint. Michelyn gives her all when she performs and makes sure that the crowd is feeling her music as she pours her heart out.
Michelyn is definitely an artist to keep an eye on. I saw her perform live myself, and I was blown away. She's very talented, incredibly optimistic and unshakably determined to make the rest of her dreams come true.
