3 weeks after it's release, J Cole's latest album "Born Sinner" has risen to number 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.
After competing with Kanye West's "Yeezus" and Wale's "The Gifted", "Born Sinner" has finally knocked both albums back and taken the number 1 spot. To date, the album has sold 439,000 copies (with 58,000 sold in it's third week) and jumped from number 2 to number 1.
According to Billboard, it's unusual for an album to climb to #1 after it's debut, but if there's anything that we've learned about J Cole, it's that he isn't the typical artist.
The Roc Nation artist thanked fans for their support and gave them some words of encouragement:
"3 weeks later. #1 album in the country. Born Sinner. Thank you."
"Follow your heart. You won't fail"If you haven't picked up "Born Sinner" yet, be sure to grab it on iTunes or at a retailer near you and be sure to follow J Cole on Twitter.
