Chris Brown Donates Reebok Sneakers to LA Youth

Chris Brown proves that some celebrities don't live up to the stereotype of being self centered. Chris donated pairs of Reebok sneakers to youth at Crenshaw High School in Los Angeles during the "WE US: Walk Everywhere in Unity's Shoes" event on Saturday.

Chris works with the Los Angeles mayor's office and various gang reduction organization as part of his Unity campaign. He donated 1,000 pairs of Reeboks to the youth in Compton and Baldwin Village in an effort to remind them that "whenever and wherever they walk, we are united as a community".

Chris called on L.A. members of Team Breezy to assist him in sorting boxes and passing out sneakers and they stayed out until 1 am packing the truck.

Chris tweeted:
"Thank you for allowing me to continue to inspire change in the world. Today was a great step forward!"
I'm glad to see that despite the constant negativity he has thrown at him, that Chris is still willing to help others make positive changes in their communities. Of course some people are still going to be hard on Chris, but you have to admit that he's worked hard to fix his mistakes and seems to be headed in the right direction.
